History and specifics[]

Doctor Krisp once called Saeena's tomb a memorial. (TOS comic: "The Haunted Asteroid")

A memorial existed on the grounds of Starfleet Academy to all the women who had lost their lives in service to Starfleet. (TOS - Waypoint comic: "Legacy")

In the 24th century, memorials had been erected in Mojave and Riverside, respectively, for Captains Christopher Pike and James T. Kirk. Spock paid tribute to them both in 2378. (DFT - Another Piece of the Action comic: "Part 1")

By 2381, a memorial had been erected on Ferenginar to all the profit that the Ferengi had lost in the Dominion War. (LD episode: "Parth Ferengi's Heart Place")
