To nominate someone, set up a new section for them and use their talk page to notify them. Self-nominations are allowed. After seven days, an admin will evaluate the supporting and opposing votes, the discussion, and the need for admins and determine whether the situation merits adminship.

Discussion
Admiral Markonian has been prolific building the gaming articles up (with a focus on STO, which I feel deserves its own portal here), and has shown growth lately in discussions about boundaries and user actions. With proper attention to a learning curve about tailoring content for POV and MB's mission statement, the Admiral should make a good addition to the administrator group -- captainmike 22:12, May 15, 2020 (UTC)
- Memory Beta is in desperate need of active admins. Captainmike is the only one left, since Sulfur and Bell'Orso only stop by occasionally and the rest of the admins are long gone. Markonian is hard-working, friendly, respectful and slow to anger, so I think he'd make a great admin. The same is true for Meacott. --NetSpiker (talk) 04:24, May 16, 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you. I am honored to be considered. Like Captain Mike says, I'm still on the learning curve, trying to learn from mistakes I make. I've been around here for 10 years, and barring unforeseen circumstances, I'm in for the long haul. Plus, adminship is a privilege, and privileges can be withdrawn if things go south. KInd regards, -- Markonian 09:31, May 16, 2020 (UTC)
- Markonian's thoughtful, constructive, measured attitude makes for good admin material, and his tackling of STO adds appreciably to the site. --Meacott 13:30, May 16, 2020 (UTC)

Discussion
MEacott has been prolific building the comics articles up (with a focus on vintage releases and extreme detail to publication history), and has consistently shown growth in adapting writing and coding to fit our wide universe of parameters and requirements for image categorization. With proper attention to tailoring content for MB's overall voice and tone, MEacott should make a good addition to the administrator group -- captainmike 22:12, May 15, 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed. These days, it is hard to come by old sources like various comics. I didn't even know LA Paper Strips were such a thing before Meacott incorporated them. I am continually impressed by the depth of effort that Meacott puts in covering just the comics themselves but also their content. This helps make Memory Beta a great resource for these "old" sources, and an overall more complete Trek compendium. Kind regards, -- Markonian 09:31, May 16, 2020 (UTC)
- I'm also honored by the nomination. I have a great deal to learn and many areas to improve on, and I'm grateful for all the guidance and shepherding. -- Meacott 13:30, May 16, 2020 (UTC)
