Changing the featured article Edit

Hi, just noticing that the site has not changed its featured article in at least two and a half years. Should something be done about that? --OuroborosCobra talk Klingon Empire 04:31, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

It's still bad, but it isn't quite two-and-a-half-years. I last updated the FA on January 28th, but I've had some time away from the wiki, and nobody else picked up the slack. People never seem to bother about FA's here anyway, people never seem to bother voting and it just gets left. --The Doctor 08:09, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
I've had the thought, but yet to get round to doing the template, or setting up the featured article section on the main page like the picture of the day and latest releases sections, which automatically change periodically. I'll get round to setting it up eventually, but feel free to bet me to it if you're so inclined :P --8of5 03:40, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

Well guys, we're just about another year on, and still no change. --OuroborosCobra talk Klingon Empire 01:06, July 10, 2010 (UTC)

Actually it had changed, a template was put in place to change the article on a weekly basis, but as we don't yet have 52 featured articles, and not all of those we do have were set up as a weekly feature it frequently redirected to a single feature.
I tried to fix that by making an article for at least every other week, and then coding it to redirect to the next week on weeks we dont have an article for yet. However that doesn't seem to have worked... So I changed the default redirect article for now. So we will have a new featured article every fortnight, but currently the same one every second week of the fortnight. Unless someone could figure out the coding to make it not do that... --8of5 04:51, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
