Meshav was a Sulamid Federation Starfleet officer in the late-23rd century. S/he was seven feet tall and capable of changing colour, including a pink-violet hue. Like other Sulamids, Meshav had an octocameral brain and was capable of exhibiting up to eight distinct personalities, although s/he refrained from doing this too often around "single-minded" races.
In the year 2275, Lieutenant Meshav served as the data management officer aboard the USS Enterprise. S/he attended the briefing concerning Vulcan's proposed secession from the United Federation of Planets along with other department heads. Meshav sometimes played poker with other crew members when not on duty. (TOS novel: Spock's World)
