"Message in a Bottle" was the 81st episode of Star Trek: Voyager, the 14th episode of the show's fourth season, first aired 21 January 1998. The episode was written by Rick Williams and Lisa Klink and directed by Nancy Malone.


An abandoned alien communications network, stretching into Starfleet territory, is discovered, and the Doctor's holoprogam is sent to a starship in range—but not everything turns out as it should.
