Mickey Charles Mantle (20 October 193113 August 1995) was a male human baseball player for the New York Yankees in the 1950s and 1960s, considered one of the greatest players in the sport.

On 17 April 1953, Mantle made newspaper headlines when he contributed two hits to the Yankees' victory against the Washington Senators. (DS9 - Star Trek Special comic: "When the Stars Come a-Calling")
