Mida tai-Ocapil was a 23rd century Klingon woman who served in the Klingon Defense Force. She was the science officer of the IKS K'vinta.

Biography[]

Mida was a QuchHa', who descended from Klingons who had become infected with the augment virus in the 2150s. She was an extended cousin to the linehead of her Great House.

Mida was born at Battle Station 129GDT and sought career advancement by any means necessary. She gained professional-level training in planetary ecology, chemistry, sensor operations and starship navigation. Her manner was quiet, presenting a seemingly introverted personality.

By the time she was 28 years old, Mida had attained the rank of lieutenant commander and served as science officer aboard the IKS K'vinta. During a patrol mission, the K'vinta was ambushed by three Vas Hatham-class Romulan bird-of-prey cruisers near the Beta-Origi nebula and left for dead. Mida detected the Barrier of Essai on sensors, and discovered a hidden star system within. She accompanied Captain Kordon sutai-Donatil to meet King Sai-ume on Essai. She was quite interested in the engineering needed to create the rudimentary Dyson sphere surrounding the Essaian system and saw its dilithium deposits as a source of potential wealth.
