Mining Station Beta was a Federation space station, a mining station for dilithium ore processing in Starfleet service active in the 2370s decade. (ST video games: Armada, Armada II)
- The station may be named for the Greek letter Beta.
History[]
In 2376, Mining Station Beta was operated by the Ferengi Latinum Consortium in the Devron system. The Federation mining freighter USS Hudson supplied the station with ore from a nearby dilithium moon. DaiMon Poe negotiated with the Cardassians for the sale of an Omega molecule when Admiral Sela arrived at the Romulan base in the system. The Ferengi and Cardassians engaged the interfering Romulans, until DaiMon Poe reached a deal with Sela, resulting in the Feregni Latinum Consortium becoming neutral in this conflict. During the attacks, it was possible for Sela to seize Mining Station Beta and the Hudson.
While in Starfleet service the station featured white fleet markings, portions of the hull were marked orange while on loan to the FLC, and green when seized by Sela. (ST video game: Armada mission: "A Call to Power")
