Minnie Moskowitz was a female Human yeoman third class aboard the USS Enterprise under Captain James T. Kirk in the 23rd century. She worked in the ship's tape library, an assignment she found extremely unsatisfying. She often found escape by viewing 20th century movies, with Singin' in the Rain being a particular favorite.

Sometime after stardate 5591.2, during shore leave on the Amusement Park planet, Moskowitz convinced the planet's computer to allow her to stay for an extended period, and to send one of the planet's duplicates back to the ship in her place. Unfortunately, the duplicate suffered the same dissatisfaction in the job as the original, and attempted to return early. The computer reprogrammed the duplicate Moskowitz to enjoy her duties, thus allowing the original Moskowitz to extend her stay. (TOS short story: "The Girl Who Controlled Gene Kelly's Feet")
