Mirage was the name given to an idyllic class M planet discovered by the Federation starship USS Excelsior in the year 2294.
History and specifics[]
The crew was quite ready for some shore leave, but unable to land personnel due to possible Prime Directive violations. The dolpheels were the highest form of life found on this world. When the USS Excelsior returned later, the planet had disappeared. (TOS novel: The Fearful Summons)
