Miriam Laffer was a female Human who lived in the 24th century. In the 2360s and 2370s decades, Laffer was a chief medical officer who served aboard the Federation starship USS Saratoga.
Biography[]
Among the planets Laffer visited aboard the Saratoga were Mariphasa IV and Thetalian Prime. Laffer was serving aboard the Saratoga when it engaged the Borg at Wolf 359 and was among the survivors.
In the year 2372, Laffer was one of several survivors of the Saratoga who travelled aboard the USS Defiant to Utopia Planitia, where the new Saratoga was being prepared for launch. Laffer was attacked by Esteban Lopez during the journey as she was the only medical professional aboard the starship. After her recovery, Laffer joined the former shipmates at the launch of the new Saratoga. (DS9 novel: Saratoga)
