Doctor Miyko Tarsch was a Vobilite Starfleet officer who served as chief medical officer aboard the USS Republic in the early 2250s.
When Cadet-Lieutenant James T. Kirk and a group of cadets were assigned to the Republic in late 2251, Captain Rollin Bannock introduced Tarsch and the other senior staff to the cadets at a meeting. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Republic)
