Mizar sector

Mizar region — Region surrounding Mizar, c. 2161.

The Mizar sector was a region of space in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant.^[1] It was named for the Mizar star system, home to the pacifistic Mizarians. By the early 25th century, the Mizar sector was Federation space. (STO website: Post War Era #4: USS Hadrian)

History[]

Following the end of the Iconian War in the year 2410, the USS Nye performed a stellar survey in the sector when it encountered a Tholian fleet. Offering communications, the Nye received a warning shot from the Tholians, and backed off. Captain Wallace informed Starfleet Command about the encounter, and the Nye resumed its mission. Shortly after, the USS Hawking was to conduct a survey of the Gale-Vos nebula cluster. Captain Anaig hailed the Tholians in the region, but received no response. (STO website: Post War Era #4: USS Hadrian)
