Mobia sector

The Mobia sector is a region of space, a sector location on star charts used by the Federation in the 23rd century.

History and specifics[]

The Mobia sector is located within the Federation-Klingon Neutral Zone in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant. Its name referred to the Mobian civilization located on a planet within the sector.

In 2265, a Klingon battlecruiser entered the sector for a clandestine mission on Mobita.

In 2266, after learning about Klingon activity in the sector, Starfleet sent Captain James T. Kirk on a secret mission there. When the bridge crew of the USS Enterprise learned that Kirk was in trouble, Hikaru Sulu pointed out to Captain Zarlo that the Enterprise should go to Kirk's aid, as they were the nearest Federation starship to the Mobia sector. Their arrival prompted the battlecruiser to depart. (TOS comic: "One of Our Captains Is Missing!")
