Moetar was a star system located in the Wumpar sector of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

History and specifics[]

The Moetar system's orbit was the location of at least one inhabitable planet.

In 2270, James T. Kirk was beamed through time and space by a long distance transporter on Veneu II to some other planet in the sector. Commander Ikemar committed the Wumpar Defense Fleet to a systematic search of the sector along with the USS Enterprise. A Wumpar starship searched for Kirk in the Moetar system and confirmed that he had not been sent there. (TOS comic: "The Alone, Part Two")
