For other uses, see Mol.

The Mols were an ethnic group of Makons native to the planet Makon III.

History and specifics[]

The Mols lived in a nation-state not allied with the Makon City-States.

In 2268, during first contact with the Makons, James T. Kirk and his landing party dined with leaders of the Makon City-States. Kirk mentioned his intent to meet with other world leaders, which insulted President Wan'Brek. He and others felt that their successful launch of a Makon warp ship entitled them to exclusive treaty negotiations with the Federation, and were appalled by the notion that the Starfleet officers would want to contact the Mols. (TOS - Star Trek: The Manga - Uchu comic: "Inalienable Rights")
