Molyneaux was a human female who served in Starfleet in the 23rd century.

History[]

By late 2278, she served on the USS Impeller as an engineering apprentice under Captain Daniel Merkling when it was assigned to the Belle Terre Colonial Expedition.

In early 2279, the colonists on the colony ship Yukon decided to turn back and return to Federation space. Captain James T. Kirk assigned the Impeller as an escort, but on the way back they were attacked by five Orion ships. During the battle Molyneaux was on the bridge when it was breached. Lieutenant Pavel Chekov beamed aboard to help the survivors and slapped Molyneaux back to consciousness. After they and the other survivors left the bridge, the blinded Captain Merkling put Chekov in command and sent Molyneaux, Verdicchio and Burnell down to the auxiliary bridge. Once there, they were able to hold off the Orions long enough for the USS Enterprise to arrive. (TOS - New Earth novel: Wagon Train to the Stars)
