Mon-El (also known as Lar Gand or Valor) was a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in an alternate reality. (TOS - Star Trek—Legion of Super-Heroes comic: "Issue 5")

The character of Mon-El was for many years portrayed as an amnesiac Kryptonian in the DC Comics Legion franchise. He was given his name by Superboy as an adoptive member of the El family. After the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, it was revealed that Mon-El was actually a Daxamite named Lar Gand, of a race with similar abilities. Although the pre-Crisis version of the Legion who found their way into the Star Trek universe originated from a time before the DC Universe had continuity revised by the Crisis, for the purposes of the wiki his statistics will reflect the finalized version of the character, as he played an important part in the timeline of multiple versions of the DC Universe. During the Zero Hour time travel storyline, it was revealed that Mon-El's part in a predestination paradox caused a divergent variation in the Legion's timeline, as he was destined to help the ancestors of the Legion's members to settle their various planets before himself spending 1,000 years in stasis with no memory of his actions, in a series of successive temporal loops. After a temporal anomaly duplicated him, his original version died, and the younger counterpart attempted to re-create his exploits, causing multiple variations of the Legion's future.
