Moravec was a 23rd century man, an officer of Starfleet in the 2260s decade serving as a communications officer aboard the USS Sacagawea.
Biography[]
In 2262, Moravec was on the bridge of the Sacagawea as the ship responded to the border incursion by the Agni. After Captain Robert Wesley attempted to communicate with the approaching Agni vessels, Moravec relayed to Captain James T. Kirk that there was no reaction from them.
After the Sacagawea and USS Leonov fired a warning shot at the Agni, Moravec informed Kirk that their fellow starship was being fired upon. The battle didn't go well for the Starfleet ships, and the Sacagawea was critically damaged in the conflict. Once the dust settled, Lieutenant Commander Mehran Egdor reported to the Captain that Moravec lost his life. (TOS novel: The Captain's Oath)
