Morgan Avery was the captain who served as commanding officer of the Constitution-class USS Venture in the 2270s.
Captain Avery was considered to be famous for her exploits as captain already when her vessel docked at a refit facility at Hus-24, alongside Rear Admiral James T. Kirk's USS Enterprise. Her crew teamed up with Kirk's against the Husians when the two vessels were attacked. (TOS comic strip's sixth US story arc)
