Mount Everest is the highest mountain on Earth as measured by height above sea level and is located in Asia.

In the Julian Bashir, Secret Agent holosuite program, Doctor Hippocrates Noah had a mountain retreat on Mount Everest's south-eastern slope. (DS9 episode: "Our Man Bashir")

After being held on Erigol, several MACO personnel from the Columbia staged an escape attempt which resulted in the destruction of the planet. The city-ship of Axion was able to escape, carrying four Columbia officers including the ship's command crew. The Caeliar Quorum asked to speak with Erika Hernandez, who felt that she had climbed Everest by the time she reached the Quorum Hall at the top of its building. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals)
