Log entries[]
- Captain's Log, Stardate 442953
- I have tried my best to believe it-- to give in to the inevitable conclusion that the shuttle Einstein, with its crew of eight skilled and dedicated people has been irretrievably lost. But I do not believe it. Perhaps I never will. Nonetheless, after days of futility and frustration, I can no longer justify to Starfleet the use of the Enterprise as a search vessel. Nor can I ask my crew to share my unlikely hopes. For their sake, I must put to rest the memories of those who disappeared with the Einstein.
