Moyo was a 23rd century Human woman, a Federation citizen serving in Starfleet in the until becoming stranded in the alternate universe Elysia. In the 2260s decade, Moyo held the rank of captain and commanded the Bonaventure. (LD - Lower Decks comic: "Issue 1")

On stardate 5268.3, a Monday, in the year 2269, Captain James T. Kirk and Commander Spock used a formula to escape from Elysia alongside Captain Kor, son of Rynar's Klingon starship. Following the successful attempt, Moyo recorded in the ship's log that the barrier between dimensions was weaker as a result, and that the Bonaventure crew had decided to attempt escape as well. The escape was undertaken months later. As the escape of the Enterprise had altered the rift, the Bonaventure emerged in the 24th century. Finding that their communication channels were now outdated, the Bonaventure set course for Earth at maximum warp once its Dilithium crystals had reconstituted only for the engines to begin to overload. The crew were saved by a passing Choksi craft which the Bonaventure quickly outpaced.
On stardate 59010.2, the Choksi craft and the USS Cerritos caught up to the Bonaventure. Once the Bonaventure had been fixed, the Cerritos offered to speed up the return trip, Moyo elected to remain with the Bonaventure. (LD - Lower Decks comics: "Issue 1", "Issue 2" story: "The Ocean of Infinity")
