Mustard was a food ingredient, a spice-based condiment made by the Human civilization of the planet Earth.

History and specifics[]

Mustard was considered to have a very sharp flavor, and said by some to contribute to indigestion based on that fact. In the literature of Charles Dickens, the character Ebenezer Scrooge tried to rationalize the appearance of a ghost in his sleep as the result of a dream caused by undigested mustard. (TNG episode: "Devil's Due")

Mustard was a popular condiment to be put on hot dogs. (DS9 - Strange New Worlds 9 short story: "Living on the Edge of Existence")
