The myotronic beam was a weapon system that was developed by the Romulan Star Empire that had the ability to stun enemy weapons.

History and specifications[]

This beam dealt a fair amount of high damage on its own but produced a side effect from its enhanced energy field that created a field of electromagnetic particles. These particles were responsible for interfering with the energy build-up that was seen in most weapon designs resulting in stunning enemy systems until the field dissipated. It was developed by the late 24th century following Romulan salvage of a Dominion vessel. After a period of study, researchers managed to develop this beam weapon.
