Myra Kart was a 23rd century Human woman. She served in Starfleet and was assigned to the Federation starship USS Enterprise as a yeoman under the command of Captain James T. Kirk in the 2270s decade.

Biography[]

Kart was awkwardly clumsy, but was not observed to repeat a mistake, a skill noted by Xon.

In the year 2273, Myra Kart found a large egg while cleaning a shuttlecraft that had recently returned from the planet Manlikt. She picked it up, unhandily dropped it, then put the cracked egg in a bag and brought it to sickbay. It hatched shortly afterward, revealing a strange creature named Cassandra that suddenly said, "Oh, my, if you aren't just the cutest little old bug..." Kart re-entered sickbay a few minutes later, cuddled the animal and said, "Oh, my, if you aren't just the cutest little old bug..." She brought it to the recreation room, then when Kirk broadcast a ship-wide alert about a missing egg, Kart reported to the bridge and told him about the creature.

When a Manlikt diplomatic team beamed aboard to retrieve Cassandra, Kart accidentally activated intruder control circuits in the transporter room, deluging the diplomats with water. Unexpectedly, the water exposed the delegates as Breet spies. Manlikt Ambassador Hibchiba awarded Kart a gold medal for exposing the Breet agents. Kirk promoted her for the good she did, then demoted her for the chaos she caused. (Phase II episode: "Cassandra")
