Myrmidon is an inhabited planet known for the ruins of the Bolastre civilization.
History and specifics[]
Myrmidon has large continents and vast webs of rivers and deltas. It also has common windstorms known as Myrmidon wind devils. The planet has a large Bolian population due to it being considered their spiritual home. (ST - A Time to... novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace, TNG novels: The Genesis Wave, The Battle of Betazed)
Prior to 2369, Vash was able to "appropriate" the Crown of the First Mother, the theft of which made her wanted dead or alive on Myrmidon. (DS9 episode: "Q-Less")
In 2376, the USS Neptune arrived at Myrmidon with no crew. A team from the USS Enterprise-E were later affected by an unknown life form and attacked the planet. (TNG - The Genesis Wave novels: The Genesis Wave, Book 1, Book 2)
In 2379, Jean-Luc Picard wanted to read a book on Myrmidon's ruins. He was attempting to decide between reading about it, B'hala or the Tkon Empire before he was called to duty. (ST - A Time to... novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace)
