The N'renix class was a type of cruiser starship that was used by the Romulan Star Empire in the 24th century. The N'renix-class vessels were highly advanced, and before the year 2376, none had been seen outside of Romulan territory.
In 2376, Julian Bashir, Ezri Dax, Ro Laren and Taran'atar discovered a N'renix-class cruiser that had been attacked by Ethan Locken's Jem'Hadar soldiers, who had also killed the Romulan crew. (DS9 - Section 31 novel: Abyss)
Taran'atar described the ship class as mainly used for transport of high-level military personnel and secret technology with an excellent cloaking capability and medium weapons and shielding, during the Dominion War the Romulan Star Empire tried to keep the class a secret even from its allies by using it only inside Romulan controlled space but the Dominion learned about it anyway.
