N-J Film Effects Studio was a special effects movie company owned by Nuri Jakarz. Among the effects it provided were models of the lost city of Abdar and the underwater world of Lokauruk.

In 2266, James T. Kirk, in disguise and investigating criminal charges against him, broke into Jakarz's home and discovered from the studio's files and equipment proof that the video evidence implicating him had been faked. (TOS comic: "The Trial of Captain Kirk")
