NCC-0509 was a Federation starship, an Einstein-class survey vessel in service in the mid-23rd century of the Kelvin timeline. (TOS comic: "IDW Star Trek, Issue 19")
History
In the year 2250, this ship's dilithium scrubbers failed, and the ship sent a distress signal that was received by a civilian freighter. Its engineer, Montgomery Scott was able to temporarily repair the damage.
