The USS Xerxes (NCC-505) was a 23rd century Federation starship, authorized on stardate 0965 by Starfleet for construction as a Mk VIII Saladin-class class I destroyer. (TOS reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)

It is not known if this vessel was constructed, as the source only specifies that the vessels were authorized for construction.

By reference stardate 1/9208, this vessel's name had been passed on to the Larson-class USS Xerxes. (FASA RPG module: Federation Ship Recognition Manual)
