The NCC-97999 was a 24th or 25th century Federation starship, a Gagarin-class miracle worker battlecruiser[1] entering Starfleet service sometime between the 2390s and 2410s decades.

This vessel was commissioned sometime in or after 2398, when the USS Gagarin (NCC-97930) launched as the first ship of its class. This vessel carried the USS prefix and was named after notable Earth astronauts, aviators or a synonym for space. Its NCC registry number was the highest in the range for Gagarin-class starships.
