In the 29th century, General Vosk dispatches Specialist Krog and the NV Retribution to forge an alliance with the Romulan Star Empire in the 23rd century by providing them with a Doomsday machine. (STO - Yesterday's War mission: "The Core of the Matter")
Soon after the loss of the USS Constellation by the first Doomsday machine the Na'kuhl delivered to this time period, the Retribution brought another one to Galorndon Core. (STO short story: "Recruitment Drive", STO - Yesterday's War mission: "The Core of the Matter")
Due to the intervention by a starship from the year 2410, the Doomsday machine became uncontrollable, and the Romulan Chulak ordered to attack it and the Na'kuhl. When the Retribution crashed into the machine's maw, it tumbled into the planet, rendering it uninhabitable. As a result, the potential alliance was scuttled.
