Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

The Nagas were a bioengineered species of lifeforms, a modification of the ophidian creatures used by the Devidians to focus triolic energy into time displacement.

History and specifics[]

The Nagas were larger and possessed of a devastating natural defense, the ability to advance time and age a victim to death, by touch. The name "Naga" was originally a nickname devised by the Traveler, Wesley Crusher, and after he briefed Starfleet Command and the Federation Department of Temporal Investigations on the danger, the name continued to be used.
