A Nanotech virus was a type of nanotechnology that was developed in the 24th century.
This example of nanotechnology was developed by the United Federation of Planets which were beamed onboard enemy ships. The infection caused by the virus which led to a total system shutdown between 5 to 10 seconds. These weapons were used by Starfleet to hinder enemy starship operations.
