Nathan Gold was a male human in the 24th century, the youngest son of David Gold and Rachel Gilman.
Biography[]
Gold was married to Elaine Welsh, with whom he had two daughters, Danielle and Simone. The two also had three grandchildren. (ST short story: "The Ceremony of Innocence is Drowned")
Gold was a writer, and had his first book published some time prior to 2369. (SCE eBook: Progress)
In 2374, he was working on a book profiling prominent Federation figures, including Betazoid ambassador Lwaxana Troi. Gold was conducting an interview with Troi at her home when he was killed, during the Dominion invasion of Betazed. (ST - Tales of the Dominion War short story: "The Ceremony of Innocence is Drowned")
- Nathan Gold's death on Betazed was first mentioned in the SCE eBook: Wildfire, Book 2. He is erroneously referred to as David Gold's eldest son in SCE eBook: Progress.
