Biography[edit | edit source]
By 2156, he served aboard the Columbia (NX-02) as a MACO private, and was present when the vessel was attacked by the Romulan warships, crippling the vessel and forcing it to make a relativist travel to the planet later known to be Erigol.
When fellow MACO personnel on the away team to Erigol rebelled against the native Caeliar attempting to find a way back to Earth, Otumbo and Corporal Hossad Mottaki met Major Stephen Foyle and Private Vincenzo Yacavino in the transporter room and escorted their prisoner Arithon to the ship's Brig. Otumbo, along with the rest of the personnel aboard the Columbia, perished from hyperphasic radiation when the vessel entered an unstable subspace tunnel. (ST - Destiny novel: Gods of Night)
