Nelan was a male El-Aurian living in the Federation. He was perceptive of changes in the timeline. In 2410, Nelan became the bartender of the reopened Club 47 on Earth Spacedock. (STO mission: "Delta Rising")
Alternate timelines[]
In an alternate timeline, created when the USS Enterprise-C traveled through an anomaly into the future, Nelan was a slave of the Tholian Assembly. He wore a blue uniform and was aware that history was not as it should be. Nelan did not perceive clearly how things were supposed to be but he knew Tasha Yar of the Enterprise-C was supposed to have a daughter named Sela.
In 2409, Nelan talked to the captain of a Tuffli-class freighter who had been approached by Richard Castillo. Nelan told the captain that helping somebody who asked for aid would set things right. (STO mission: "Temporal Ambassador")
