The Neptune class was an Human starship type, a United Earth survey ship class in Starfleet service in the 2140s decade. (ENT episode: "Singularity")

Specifications[]

By 2152, Neptune class ships cruised at a maximum warp factor of 2. Ships of this class utilized the same model of captain's chair that would be initially used on NX-class, a newer and more advanced starship design. (ENT episode: "Singularity")

History[]

When the Enterprise NX-01 crew succumbed to the mental influence of a black hole around August 14, 2152, the NX-class ship's chief engineer Commander Charles Tucker III became obsessed with improving Captain Jonathan Archer's chair, he complained that Archer still sat on a Neptune-class chair.
