Nerrieb

Nerrieb was a male Redheri, who led a covert mission for the Redheri Trade Consortium to planet Sigma Niobe II. In 2268, Nerrieb initiated first contact between the Redheri and the United Federation of Planets (via the use of a telepresence-controlled humanoid robot) when members of the crew of the USS Enterprise also visited Sigma Niobe II.

During a previous mission, Nerrieb had acted as a "muse" to a native novelist, providing stories of alien life for her to write. Unfortunately, she would make the aliens of her stories beings to be feared, which did not suit the Consortium's purposes. (TOS - Constellations short story: "As Others See Us")
