New Anchorage was a city on Tarsus IV that was the capital and largest population center of the colony. It was named after the city of Anchorage, Alaska on Earth.

In 2246, the city's amphitheatre was the site of the massacre in which then Governor Adrian Kodos and his people killed 4,000 colonists in response to a fungal infection that had attacked the colony's food supplies.

Following the massacre, the colony support vessel USS Narbonne set down at the city's spaceport. The Starfleet teams coordinating relief efforts and hunting down Kodos based themselves out of New Anchorage. (DSC novel: Drastic Measures)
