New Deimos was a planet located near the border space between the United Federation of Planets and the Gorn Hegemony, somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.
A Federation colonization effort en route to the planet, including six Cochrane-class transports, went missing in 2267. Although the Gorn were suspected, no evidence was ever found of their involvement. (FASA RPG module: Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update)
