New New Aberdeen was a colony world of New Aberdeen, formerly a Federation world, and located in the region of space known as The Triangle. It was the second planet of the Halien system and a founding member of the Affiliation of Outer Free Worlds.

The colony had a lucrative ship-building and design industry, as well as well-developed orbital and surface spaceport facilities. The planet was governed by the Council of Clans who not only professed their loyalty to the clans of New Aberdeen, its parent planet, but also the Federation. Its people maintained Scottish traditions, and many of the Triangle's best engineers lived there. At coordinates 9.2S 6.1 E, star charts denoted it as being proximate to Baker's World, Fountainworld, and Jav VII. (FASA RPG module: The Triangle)

History[]
In the early 2250s decade, New New Aberdeen jointly proposed the formation of the Affiliation of Outer Free Worlds with Baker's World on reference stardate 1/9412.25. Shortly after, when the Four Years War broke out, New New Aberdeen's shipyards contributed to Federation's efforts, including building a complete heavy cruiser for Starfleet, the USS Aberdeen.
By the mid-2250s, the world stood independent from the Federation as part of the AOFW. Its shipyards licensed Starfleet designs to provide the bulk of AOFW's starships. New New Aberdeen also bought back the USS Aberdeen at the end of its service and refurbished it for use as the flagship of the AOFW Mutual Defense Force. (FASA RPG module: The Triangle)
