In the mirror universe, New T'Karath was a planet which contained a small Vulcan colony which was once home to a small group of dissidents and mystics known as the Sakethans. The colony was wiped out centuries before Vulcan was conquered by the Terran Empire in the 21st century.

Before they were wiped out, the Sakethans built a burial mound where they interred their dead, and many ancient items, including a segment of the Stone of Gol. (TNG - Mirror Universe novella: The Worst of Both Worlds)
