Niagara class

The Niagara class was a type of Federation starship, a fast cruiser^[1] in service to Starfleet in the 24th century. (ST reference: The Star Trek Encyclopedia; DS9 novel: Ascendance, Last Unicorn RPG module: The Price of Freedom)

In terms of public relations, many are familiar with the appearance of these vessels from news visuals of Niagara-class cruisers in orbit above Arcalion during the Reunification. (Last Unicorn RPG module: The Price of Freedom)

The Niagara class was capable of performing saucer separation. (STO - Task Force Operation mission: "Battle of Wolf 359")
