The Night's Breath class was a type of police vessel starship built by the Kzinti Patriarchy during the 23rd century.

Service history[]

The Treaty of Sirius permitted Kzinti to construct and operate warp-powered police vessels such as those belonging to the Night's Breath class so long as they remained within Kzinti Patriarchy space. The class entered service in the year 2248, with seventy percent officially reported to have been taken by criminals as of the late 2260s decade, leading to Starfleet suspicions that they were being used for privateering.

Later that year, Starfleet salvaged the heavily damaged Traitor's Claw at Beta Lyrae to assess Kzinti technological levels.

Specifications[]

Night's Breath vessels were equipped with highly-precise reaction-control thrusters that improved maneuverability as well as a high-power tractor beam. Small beam weapon emitters automatically targeted an incoming photon torpedo to prevent impact. (Adventures RPG module: The Animated Series Supplemental Guide)

The interior contained at least three rooms: a bridge, a crew common room or observation room, and a storage chamber. The observation room chamber was large enough to hold prisoners, with main and aft observation ports as well as an airlock exit. (TAS - Log Ten novelization: The Slaver Weapon)
