The Niners were a baseball team formed by Captain Benjamin Sisko to play against Captain Solok's team, the Logicians, in 2375. Its players were all residents of Deep Space 9.
After a shaky training period, the Niners and the Logicians played a match. The Vulcans from the USS T'Kumbra defeated the Niners, although Sisko's team still celebrated, much to the irritation of Solok. (DS9 episode: "Take Me Out to the Holosuite")
Worf had a photo of the Niners in his office at the Federation Embassy on Qo'noS. (IKS Gorkon: "Honor Bound")
