Nintendo DS is a family of hand-held video game consoles produced by Nintendo which succeeded the company's Game Boy family.
The Nintendo DS family began with the original Nintendo DS in 2004, followed by the more compact version, the Nintendo DS Lite in 2006. In 2009, the Nintendo DSi was released, as well as the Nintendo 3DS in 2011.
