Norway and surrounding nations.

Norway was a geographical area and nation-state located in the Scandinavian region, in the north of the continent of Europe on Earth. Natives of Norway were known as Norwegians. The local culture was Norse.

History and specifics[]

In 1867, Katy Hoyt was engaged to a huge Norwegian logger. (TOS novel: Ishmael)

In February 1994, one seaman aboard the SGK Kaur submarine was Norwegian. He deployed countermeasures against an undersea torpedo. (TOS - The Eugenics Wars novel: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh, Volume 2)

According to Jonathan Archer, Norway harbored no tropical diseases, which made it a good vacation spot for people who wanted to avoid such medical concerns. (ENT episode: "Zero Hour")

In the late 2200s, Norway hosted the winter Olympics. At one time, the city of Tromsø housed Earth's Andorian embassy. (ST - The Fall novel: The Poisoned Chalice)

Erin Hansen, the mother of Annika Hansen, was a native of Norway, and her father continued to live there as late as 2354. (VOY - Strange New Worlds II short story: "A Ribbon for Rosie")

From 1985 to 1992, a secret Augment base was housed in Norway. Khan Noonien Singh and Augment Council members coordinated activities with it and similar facilities across Earth. (TOS - Khan comic: "Issue 2")

In 1992, Norway was annexed into the European Territories by Augment John Ericssen, and by 1996 became part of his expanded Pax Europa before Ericssen was overthrown. (TOS - Khan comics: "Issue 2", "Issue 3")
