O'Hara was a Human woman, an archaeologist serving as a lieutenant aboard the USS Enterprise in the 2260s.
History
In 2268, her brother Matthew O'Hara was the commander of the USS Pasteur when it went missing.
When the Enterprise tracked hull fragments of the Pasteur to Gobi III, O'Hara asked Captain James T. Kirk to join the search party on the surface. Although her brother had been killed, in Avatar's nursery O'Hara located an infant containing some of her brother's DNA. She left the Enterprise to raise the boy on Pacifica. (TOS - Year Four comic: "Issue 6")
